Friends of Alabama Crew was founded in 2026 with a singular mission: to elevate the profile of rowing in Tuscaloosa and West Alabama. Our journey began with a vision to foster community engagement and provide a platform for athletes of all backgrounds to experience the power of the sport.
By bridging the gap between local passion and organized competition, we have created a space where dedication meets discovery. Our team is dedicated to the craft of rowing, ensuring that every member finds inspiration in the water and strength in the community.
Community Programs
We are dedicated to fostering a vibrant rowing culture in West Alabama through structured programs and inclusive community engagement initiatives.
Middle and High School Outreach
We partner with local non-profits and communities to introduce rowing as a dynamic and accessible sport, providing equipment and coaching to inspire the next generation of athletes.
